Witold Dyrka

I am a computer scientist and a bioinformatician. My research interests focus on protein bioinformatics and development of intelligent computational methods for this domain. My major works include a machine learning framework for probabilistic context-grammars for protein sequences, optimization of the continuous ion flow model for protein ion channels, and large-scale protein sequence analyses.

In 2012, I received my PhD from Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering of Polish Academy of Sciences. From 2012 to 2014 I was a post-doctoral fellow in team MAGNOME at Inria Bordeaux in France. Currently, I am a research assistant professor (adiunkt naukowy) in the Bioinformatics and Biophysics of Nanopores Group at Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland.
